GemilangNews, MAGELANG – Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Magelang Regency are growing thanks to the support of Bank Bapas 69. One form of Bank Bapas 69’s attention to MSMEs is the holding of the 2024 MSME Award event which has been implemented and produced 4 winners. The first winner is Ella Rizki, owner of PT Nira Lestari Internasional from Candimulyo, who was a resource person on the Gemilang Jamus Talkshow (Jagongan Lan Musyawaroh) broadcast on LPPL Radio Gemilang FM, Wednesday (10/23/2024).
Ella, a resident of Semen Hamlet, Trenten, Candi Mulyo District, Magelang Regency, and a doctoral student at Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta, started her business producing palm sugar in 2013. Starting from the residents of Semen Hamlet who made molded Javanese sugar using sap from coconut trees around the hamlet for generations, Ella wanted to develop this production so that it could help the economy of the residents, especially women who already have families who can work at home to earn an income..

“At that time, the price of molded Javanese sugar dropped, so many women went to the city to seek additional income. There were no public transportation here, so they walked, leaving at 5 a.m. and returning home at 7 p.m., leaving their children unattended. So, my family and I looked for ways to improve the local economy. From five female employees, we now have 94,” said Ella.
PT Nira Lestari Internasional’s flagship product is palm sugar made from coconut sap. They also produce Wedang Rempah Powder and Vegan Honey. With strong passion and determination, PT Nira Lestari Internasional’s products have established branches in Malaysia and are exported to Singapore, where they won the 2024 Bank Bapas 69 MSME Award.
Dina, the PIC Center Manager for Bank Bapas 69, also served as a resource person. She explained that PT Nira Lestari Internasional’s Ant Sugar was selected as the first winner of the 2024 MSME Award because it met the criteria: an MSME that utilizes a community empowerment system, minimizes risks from its operations to the community and the environment, and impacts the MSME has on the surrounding community.
“Even the best MSMEs focus on personal or corporate profits, while others focus on improving the economy of their communities. One example is PT Nira Lestari Internasional, which focuses on improving the economy of the surrounding community,” Dina explained.
Dina also informed that Bank Bapas 69, which is a bank owned by the Magelang Regency government, has provided a chat center called a digital center to facilitate the public in accessing Bank Bapas 69 products. The Chat Center can be contacted at 0877-8277-0069. (Giandika)
